2019: NSHA Speaker Balarabe Endorsed For Second Term

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, electorates in Toto/Umaisha has endorsed the speaker of the 5th NSHA, Alh. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi for a second term.

Spokesperson of the constituency, Yusuf Musa Oma’aki, made this known in Umaisha on Sunday October 8, during an endorsement programme for the speaker to re-contest.

The endorsement according to the constituents was in recognition of Speaker Balarabe laudable achievements in the last two years in office.

Musa Oma’aki, a former house member said that the six electoral wards of the constituency decided to organized the programme in order to endorse the speaker for a second term.

They appreciated the speaker for sinking 10 boreholes and paid West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) for more than 30 students of his constituency.

He said that the speaker deserved endorsement for distributing scholarship to 50 tertiary institution students of his constituency, modern flying boats,12 vehicles, motorcycles as well as securing employment for more than 15 graduates of the constituency in federal government agencies / parastatal.

“As you can see, this programme was organized in order to appreciate the speaker for embarking on projects that have direct bearing in our lives and to endorse and urge him to re-contest come 2019 in order to continue with the good works he has been doing for us.

“Apart from the 10 boreholes construction, vehicles, flying boats, motorcycle distribution, the speaker has also settled medical bills of more than 50 individuals, he secured admission for not fewer than 450 students in various institution of learning and he has also worked for the promotion of not less than 15 sons and daughters of this constituency.

“He has also promoted religious activities by paying Hajj fares for more than 5 members of the constituency as well as he secured the construction of various classroom blocks to various schools within the constituency,” he said.

Musa Oma’aki, who is also a member, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Mubi said that the speaker also deserved second term for the efforts he has made towards the construction and rehabilitation of Toto/Umaisha road in order to better the standard of living of the people of the constituency.

Musa Oma’aki commended the speaker for his ability to create a harmonious and cordial relationship between the executive and the legislature which has fast track development across the state and called for its sustenance.

The Community spokesperson also called on Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and to live in peace irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliation for the overall development of the country.

Also speaking, the former Executive Chairman of Toto Local government area of the state, Alhaji Mohammed Ohinoye Musa also lauded the speaker for his achievement in the last two years.

He urged the speaker to answer the call of his people to re-contest in 2019 in order to embark on more developmental projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the area.

Newsmen reports that stakeholders, youths, women of the constituency wore different T-shirts and carried placard with different inscriptions such as “Please Mr. Speaker, recontest in 2019, you have filled your campaign promises in the last two years among others”.
