The Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has donated a plot of land for the construction of a permanent youth skills acquisition Centre in Daura.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was speaking during the forth graduation ceremony of 782 participants of skills acquisition training organized by compare and contrast youth association in Daura.
Similarly, Governor Masari donated ten million naira to compare and contrast Association to enhance the youth empowerment drive of the organization.
In addition, he assured the association officials that the present APC administration would train the instructors of their skills acquisition programme at Youth craft village for the sustenance of the programme.
The Governor expressed the hope that youths would utilize the opportunity offered by the social interventions of both the Federal and state government to become employers of labour and not seekers of job.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari utilized the opportunity to extol the good virtues of President Muhammad Buhari for rendering selfless services to the people of Nigeria.
In a remark, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar represented by the Fada Babban Daura commended the foresight of organisers of the skills acquisition programme.
The Emir expressed the hope that the beneficiaries would help to improve the living condition of people in Daura Emirate.
A grand patron of the organization and the state commissioner of Justice, Alhaji Ahmed Usman El-Marzooq said the presence of Governor Masari at the event underscores its significance.
Alhaji El-Marzooq said the programme would make youth to become self reliant in the domain.
Also speaking, the special Adviser to the Governor on science and technology, Alhaji Rabe Nasir revealed that his department had trained over 4733 youths at the youth craft village.
He said the government had provided them with take off grant and pledged that the department would strive to sustain the momentum.
Another grand patron, Alhaji Musa Haro and the chairman of the compare and contrast association spoke at length on the activities of the organization.
They however requested for a plot of land to establish a permanent youth skills acquisition Centre in Daura. There were other goodwill messages from several political groups while various artists entertain the gathering with Drama and songs.
