A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state capital on Friday ordered the remand of a 28 year old 300L student of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Oluwasesin Olusegun over alleged burglary and theft.
It was gathered that Olusegun who was a phone engineer and others now at large conspired together to committed the offence.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun while briefing the court said the accused committed the offence on 25th of November, 2017 around 1:10 am at Adeoti street, Alekuwodo area in Osogbo.
Abiodun said the accused person broke into the house of one Oyedele Jamal and stole one iPhone 7 valued N310,000, one Nokia phone valued N19,000, one Infinix Hot phone, one HP laptop, one Laptop charger, one Samsung X6, one Gionee phone and a cash sum of N35,000.
He added that the offence committed by the accused was contrary to and punishable under sections 516, 390, 411 and 427 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II, Laws of Osun State, 2003.
The accused person who had no legal counsel pleaded not guilty to the four-count charge slammed against him.
Ruling, Magistrate, O. A. Ayilara ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesha prison custody.
Ayilara thereafter adjourned the case till 26th of February, 2018 for mention.
