Group Glamour For Governor Dickson To Contest For Senatorial Position

There is a rising crescendo as the people of Sagbama/ Ekeremor Senatorial District snd members of the Bayelsa West Senatorial Forum call on Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson to come out quickly to contest for the Bayelsa West Senatorial position because of his uncommon leadership and unprecedented development that is changing the status of Sagbama and Ekeremor communities in the map of development in the state and nation.

The endorsement of Governor Seriake Dickson to contest for the senate position in the Bayelsa West Senatorial district is taking a virtual hold on the political pendulum as the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor Local Government areas which make up the western senatorial district signify where their interest lies.

Judging from the mood of members of the Bayelsa West Senatorial Forum and the numerous youths in their bright attires and group affiliations, their mission and intent were all too evident to plea with the governor to go to the National Assembly to speak and further draw federal presence to the senatorial district.

Speaking at the event Chief Mitin Tamaraumieyefa avowed that “Our actions here today are symbolic of what many of us have been doing in our various communities in Sagbama and Ekeremor LGA’s. It is not that we have not had governors before in this state but none has done as much as Governor Seriake Dickson to make the development of our people such a cardinal objective and preoccupation.

Look at what has happened to the education sector in our senatorial district, our boarding/ modern schools, look at health, our modern health centres, look at empowerment and we can also look at our Sagbama/ Ekeremor road and bridges. Look at the first ever flyover. Even those places where we never thought is possible have been linked up to the state capital. Who can ever think we would by now drive straight to Aleibiri, Ayamasa, Ofoni, Angalabiri ? . He has promised to drive to Ekeremor by December. This is why we have come here today to show our governor our solidarity and we are ready to vote for him”, he declared.

Speaking differently, Barr. Japan Odorji and Mr. Tams Alari , said the occasion speaks volumes about the level of acceptance of the present leadership in the state. He added that the gesture of the people towards the governor could only ginger him to do more as the people will be rewarded with purposeful and accountable leadership even as a senator.

Accordingly, Hon. Paul Kokowa and others have re-emphasised to quest to plead that the governor should come out and announce his interest without further delay so that the various communities present at the event can further spread the message.
