In a clear manifestation of the deepening crisis within the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) over the control of London-based Radio Biafra, the Nnamdi Kanu-led old guard has said that it would intensify its factional radio broadcasts in Germany. What it failed to say, is that it has actually lost the control of its radio station in the United Kingdom to Mazi Ezenwachukwu Sampson Okwudili’s faction. Mazi Okwudili has, in a new broadcast, pointed this out to the world, challenging Kanu and his cohorts to own up to the loss of the London –based Radio Biafra.
The new Director of Radio Biafra, Mazi Okwudili, has in a Radio Biafra (UK) broadcast Friday morning monitored in Abuja, said, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as an organisation has for long dismissed Nnamdi Kanu, Emma Powerful and former Kanu’s deputy, Uche Mefor.
The Radio Biafra broadcast said, “the statement of Emma Powerful is a clear testimony that the structure and operations of Radio Biafra is no longer in the hands of apostles of violence, hate and mercenaries who push innocent Ndigbo youth to the path of confrontation, perdition and untimely death.
“The new IPOB leadership under the new director of Radio Biafra, Mazi Okwudili is fully committed to democracy, peace and non violence. The London offices and studios along with all IPOB structures nationwide are completely under the leadership of Mazi Okwudili.
“The statement of Emma Powerful is childish, irresponsible and bereft of ideas”. According to Radio Biafra, the media falsehood Emma Powerful is dishing out is a clear admission that Radio Biafra is outside the control of Nnamdi Kanu and his cohorts.
“The same Emma Powerful issued a statement on the November 3, 2017 that IPOB has relocated its headquarters from London to Langesfeld, Germany and that the organisation’s office will be opened on December 2, 2017, but it came to pass only as a hoax and now he said there will be Hausa Radio, that also is ‘January fool’.” This is clear admission that Radio Biafra London office and studios are out of bound to Mazi Kanu, Mefor and Emma Powerful and their criminal gangs who stole IPOB money.
“There was no event in Germany and yet they continue their falsehood peddling and shameful act unbefitting of true Ndigbo.”
“The so-called Hausa broadcast Radio is non-existent and a figment of Emma Powerful’s infantile imagination. Please admit that you have truly lost control of Radio Biafra and if you are truly an Igboman reclaim it, don’t beat about the bush,” the broadcast concluded.
