Kwara PDP Rejects Dr Saraki

 Ajoke Babareke, Abuja.

The Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem led PDP Members in Kwara State have decamped to the All Progressives Congress and has pledged to work with the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

The development came after the defection of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and Kwara State Governor, Fatai Ahmed from the governing party, APC.

The former Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem, Talba Ngari also directed all his supporters nationwide to immediately relinquish their membership from the Peoples’ Democratic Party PDP. 

According to him, “This development was as a result of political situation in Kwara State which allowed looters of our treasury to find their way back to PDP”

Prof. Oba in a statement vowed that he will never be in the same political party with Senator Bukola Saraki and other decampees. 

The University Don stressed that he immediately relinquished his membership of PDP immediately Sen. Bukola Saraki and Gov. Abdulfatai Ahmed announced their defection to the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP and he joined the All Progressive Congress APC. 

Prof. Oba Abdulraheem also rejected the posted statement credited to him on the social media that, he will not quit the main opposition party, the PDP.

The former PDP scribe however pledged to work with the Minister for information and culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammad. 

Prof. Oba emphasized that, Alhaji Lai Mohammad had been his good friend for more than a decade despite different political affiliation. 

“Since both of us are pursuing homogeneous objectives towards the development of Kwara State at large, definitely we can be in the same political party and and work together in APC”

Finally, Professor Oba urged all Kwarans to remain calm and be rest assured that God is in control of every situation.
