…Oluwo Backs Adeleke
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has rolled out a four point agenda for Iwo Federal Constituency if elected governor of the state.
In a press release signed by the Director, Media & Publicity, Ademola Adeleke Governorship Campaign Organisation, Olawale Rasheed, he said that Adeleke promised to ensure the reconstruction of Iwo-Osogbo road, dualisation of Odoori-Adele road, the upgrade of Iwo General Hospital and the expansion of Iwo Waterworks amongst other people oriented projects while addressing party faithfuls at Iwo today
Accompanied by top party chiefs led by state Chairman, Hon Soji Adagunodo, Adeleke decried the neglect of Iwo by the APC government, promising to right the wrong and ensure Iwo regains her pride of place.
“Iwo has been criminally neglected by the APC government. The senatorial headquarters is treated like a village. My administration will place Iwo at the centre of our government”, Adeleke said.
The state chairman, Hon Soji Adagunodo in his speech urged Iwo voters to give their votes to PDP, a party he said will bring real development to the ancient town.
“A vote for PDP is a vote for real development. What Iwo was denied will be regained under our government. Vote for PDP and see the difference”, Adagunodo noted.
At the palace of Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi, the royal monarch has embraced Senator Adeleke for the September 22nd poll.
Oluwo, while receiving the party prayed for the party’s victory in the race, urging the party to chart a preferential welfare package for monarchs, being the heads of their respective domain.
“I’m throwing my support for Adeleke as one of my sons. God will crown your aspiration if it is destined for you. I salute the chairman of your party for his administrative proficiency. He has so far demonstrated excellent sense of human management”, he said.
“I want to charge politicians to treat the palace preferentially. Monarchs are the heads that should be given unquantified welfare package.
“I’ve 100% control of my people. Whenever I go out, it is always carnival-like. Palace is the only rallying point where every religious and political attachment have access to. Also, a responsible monarch has control of his people. Whatever a politician does for the king is equally for the town”, Oluwo concluded.
