“The act of killing unarmed Students by the Police is very barbaric and condemnable, as we strongly believe that the government must put an end to this without further delay. Lives are sacred and people who are paid to protect the lives and properties of citizens, must not turn around to become a threat to our lives as Nigerians”
He also commiserated with the families of the victim and the institution.
Meanwhile, the NANS have called for the immediate reopening of the institution saying it is opposed to the closure which may be tantamount to another attempt to prolong the already delayed academic calendar of the institution, coupled with the added risk of putting the students by on the road to their various homes, across the country. The NANS President assured that the Union is working and will be visiting the institution this week to ensure that peace returns, so that normal academic activities can resume.
