PDP Is In A Hurry To Return To Power In 2019 – Uche Secondus

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) legitimate urge to regain power at the Federal level in 2019 is the real reason why Prince Uche Secondus, the former Acting National Chairman of the party, is the front runner for the office of the National Chairman.

According to a statement from the Media Office of Prince Uche Secondus Campaign in Abuja on Tuesday, PDP is in a hurry to return to power in 2019 and could not afford learners on the political party rudiments at this time.

“The party after suffering all the distractions from the Sheriff’s unfortunate interventions, is anxious to hit the ground running to cover lost grounds and launch the party to winning ways once again.

“Secondus’ experience and disarming human relations are the most potent ingredients for him now because of the urgent harmonious environment the party would need immediately after the convention to confront the challenges ahead,” the statement said.

It said that as a committed loyal party man who has held virtually all critical positions in the party at various levels of the party structure, Secondus stands out well equipped more than anybody in the race at this time to take party back to power.

“Secondus’s clear understanding of political party administration, his firm grip of the party’s workings, are clearly his biggest strength as the party is poised to take its rightful place in the polity and to quickly save Nigerians from the obvious lack of direction the APC government has subjected the country into in the last two years.”

The statement said that the genuine desires of majority of the delegates to the party’s December 9, 2017 National Convention across the six geo-political zones to have Secondus lead their party at this time must therefore be seen from their urge to have the party restored to its winning ways again.

The media office then encourage members of the party to see the forthcoming National Convention as a ripe opportunity to rebuild the party with a view to handing it over to the true owners-the people.
