Police Arraign Man For Stealing Blocks In Osun State

A 40-year old man, Sofoluwe Onikeji was in Tuesday arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State, over alleged theft of 1,120 moulded blocks.

Prosecutor Adekunle Bukola, told the court that the accused on the 30th of September, 2017 at Dagbolu area in Osogbo, dishonestly stole the aforementioned blocks valued N156,800, property of one Akinola Falola.

Bukola said the offence contravened section 390 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of Osun State, 2003.

In his plea, the accused however pleaded not guilty to the offence levelled against him.

While assuring the court that the accused would not jump bail if granted, his counsel, Barrister Alfred Adegoke prayed for the bail of his client in the most liberal terms.

In his ruling, Magistrate Ayeni Ashiru, granted the accused bail of N100,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till December 12, 2017 for mention.
