Privacy Week 2021: NITDA Calls For Entries

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as part of the Privacy Week 2021 is scheduled to host a Privacy Technology Expo 2021 online on 26th January 2020, themed; Harnessing Data As A Critical Asset In The Digital Economy

In an advert signed by the Head, Corporate Affairs & External Relations, Mrs Hadiza Umar, MNIPR, M.APRA, MCIPR, she said that NITDA’s issuance of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) in 2019 has stimulated pioneering technologies to aid compliance. This pioneer Expo is aimed at showcasing our national innovativeness and contributes to growing global privacy enhancing technology industry.

The Agency is therefore calling on Data Protection Service Organisations and Technology Developers, to make entries for the Expo.

Solutions will be evaluated on the bases of originality marketablity, scalability, inclusiveness, job and wealth creation
potential.

Successful entries will have an opportunity to present their solution to a national and international audience.

The portal will be opened from January 13, 2021 till January 20, 2021.

Entries will be evaluated and assessed by January 22, 2021 Shortlisted Finalists will be notified by January 25, 2021 and will be required to do a 3-minute live pitch on Tuesday January 26, 2021.
