Imo people have decided to make their own Governor, they no longer want accidental Governor. This is why three zones (Orlu zone, Owerri zone, Okigwe zone) have come together to make their own Governor by themselves. Senator Samuel Anyanwu is somebody who has been in Imo politics and understands the problem of Imo, not Abuja politicians. This is why his consultations to the 27 LGAs have been received with much joy and enthusiasm.
He is one of the foremost Senators in the 8th Assembly, eloquent and with mass appeal and that is why Imolites are eager to make him Governor through the ballot. They no longer want accidental Governor.
Imolites have been in search of a caring, committed, humane and humble person with the right vision and commitment to salvage the state selflessly and prudently. They have decided to make their own Governor by themselves.
Senator Samuel Anyanwu’s administration will submit to international best practices in governance, which will includes transparency, accountability, due process and rule of law. One golden standard of democratic practice is that the people must be carried along in decisions that affect their future without prejudice to class, influence and economic status; but rather for the upliftment of human dignity.
His quest for understanding Imo state and its socio-political system has been an important part of his life. That burning desire has not waned even in the face of huge challenges and adversities.
In the course of his sojourn in politics, understanding people, the challenges, the issues and expectations, it becomes clear to him that leadership was of the essence, if a worthy future must be secured for the citizens. A future that would create equal opportunity for all, promote the welfare of the people, run a transparent administration for the benefit of all and uphold the rule of law.
Senator Anyanwu believes that a responsible and sensitive government should drive policies and programmes that would promote real development, enable the people to feel the impact of governance and create an environment that would foster harmonious co-existence. His administration will energize private enterprise and allow the people unfettered ownership of the means to wealth creation.
Senator Anyanwu is a serial winner who has won elective positions in Nigerian politics five times at a stretch; never lost an election.
Pragmatic and dogged astute politician who believes he is the PDP Joshua that will lead Imolites to the promised land.
He is a strategic striker with clean record, whose goal is taking over Douglas House for the Peoples’ Democratic Party and entire Imo nation.
