Those Killing Policemen Don’t Mean Well For The Country – IGP Idris

  • About 11million Naira cheque issued to beneficiaries

The Inspector General of Police  has said the Force will not tolerate further killings of Policemen as he urged Commissioners of Police to ensure adequate security of  officers and men under their Command.

He condemned the killings of Policemen by miscreants in Abuja and Edo State respectively.

IGP Idris also called on Policemen to act within the law especially as electioneering process commences toward the 2019 general election.

He reiterated that thousands of arms and ammunition has been mopped up across the country.

While commending the Policemen deployed to Ekiti State for rancour free Governorship election, the IGP promised similar rancour free in Osun State where the Governorship election comes up in September 2018 and Bauchi State where a Senatorial election will be coming up before December, 2018.

“Deployment of Policemen are based on requirement, the Ekiti State deployment was based on number of polling units, logistics centres of INEC, IGP Idris said.

He called on Commissioners of Police to update Nigerians on their achievement through the media on regular basis.

During the Commissioners of Police and Above Conference, cheques worth about 11million Naira was issued to beneficiaries ranging from N3million to N500,000.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Femi Daramola thanked the IGP and his management team for the prompt payment of the entitlement.
