
The Delta State Police Command has announced the arrest of two key suspects linked to the killing of retired Anambra State High Court Judge, Justice Ifeoma Okogwu.
According to a statement released on 7th December 2025, operatives of the Homicide Section, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Delta State, acting on credible intelligence, apprehended Godwin Mngumi, 25, a security guard, alleged to have murdered the retired judge in Anambra State. Police also recovered the mobile phone belonging to the late Justice Okogwu from the suspect.

During interrogation, Mngumi reportedly confessed to inviting his friend, Nnaji Obalum, and another accomplice who is currently at large, to the residence where the crime was committed. Obalum has since been arrested, while efforts to track down the third suspect are ongoing.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, SP Edafe Bright, confirmed the development and assured the public that the command is committed to ensuring that all those involved are brought to justice.
