Gombe State Police Commissioner Warns Against Fuel Hoarding1 min read
The Gombe State Police Command has warned against creating artificial scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit.
According to a press release signed by the Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, anipr said that the scarcity is being caused by unscrupulous elements resulting in panic buying and hoarding of the product in the neighbourhood and residential areas in the Gombe metropolis and environs.
The Command warned those hoarding the fuel to desist from such nefarious activities considering the Harmattan season which is associated with fire incidents cases.
“The Command under the watch of CP Oqua Etim is strongly admonishing the public to desist from hoarding inflammable products in their houses or business premises leading to avoidable occurrences of fire outbreak.
“The Commissioner of Police, therefore, urged members of the public especially parents to caution their children and words who engage in road-side petrol vendors, the statement said.
