The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the posting of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mohammed Adeola as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Airport Police Command, Lagos State.
The appointment was announced on Monday via a post on the Airport Police Command’s official X handle and signed by the outgoing PRO, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Daramola Kazeem. It follows the recent redeployment of Public Relations Officers across various commands and formations of the Nigeria Police Force.
ASP Adeola, a native of Ibadan, Oyo State, is a graduate of the Nigeria Police Academy. He joined the Force in 2018 as a Cadet ASP of Regular Course 5 and graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. After completing five years of combined academic and police training, he was awarded Best Cadet Officer in Character.
Following his commissioning, Adeola was posted to the Osun State Command, where he served at the Ota-Efun Division, handling crime investigation, traffic management, and administrative duties. He was later deployed to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, where he served as a Staff Officer in the Force Public Relations Department.
During his time at the headquarters, he worked closely with senior police communication officers, including the former Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, and the current Force PRO, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin. The experience, the statement noted, strengthened his skills in modern police communication, media relations, and strategic public relations.
ASP Adeola is expected to leverage his operational and communication experience to enhance public engagement and stakeholder relations at the Airport Police Command.
