Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD), has commended the Niger Head of Service, Hajiya Salamatu Suleman, for her ingenuity and commitment to in-service capacity building of the civil servants of the state.
The National President of NITAD, Mrs. Ayoade Igbeyi, made the commendation during an advocacy visit to the Head of Service at the Abdulkareem Lafene State Secretariat, Minna.
Igbeyi, who was represented by the NITAD’s first National Vice President, Mr. Bulus James, said that the Head of Service has done a lot in effective service delivery, hence the need for the commendation.
The president noted that with the impending establishment of the Niger Branch of NITAD, public servants in the state would be encouraged to join the association.
” This is considering the importance of the association to members and societal development,” he said.
Igbeyi assured that the state will soon be on the map of the community of learning and development professionals in the country.
In her response, the Niger Head of Service assured NITAD of the support and partnership of her office towards building the professional competence of the state’s workforce.
” This is in line with the policy thrust of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello’s administration in the state,” she said.
Suleman assured of her continuous readiness to initiate good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the civil servants.
The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that Igbeyi had paid a similar visit to the Minna Area Office of Industrial Training Fund (ITF), where he held an interactive session with the staffers to strengthen partnership between the two institutions.
