Odumakin Condole With Late Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem Family

Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Barrister Bolanle Raheem, who was shot dead by a Police Officer in Ajah on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

This is contained in a statement signed by the President of Women Arise, Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin.

She said, “Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer, has been shot and killed instantly by a yet-to-be-identified policeman in Lagos.

“This tragedy occurred on Christmas day as she sat by her husband who drove their vehicle towards Ajah bridge. The reason for the opening fire had not been explained so far.

“The suspect is said to work at Ajiwe police station in Ajah under Lagos state police command.

“The IGP, Usman Alkali Baba has ordered an investigation into the death of Mrs. Raheem, describing it as unfortunate. The ÌGP also sent condolences to the family of the slain lawyer.

“The Nigerian police has recorded many such killings in its history and getting justice for the victim has always been tough.
