…………arrest five suspects
The FCT Police Command on Tuesday, 9th February, 2021 arrested five members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN)-Shiites who attempted to attack innocent citizens and destroy public property.
In a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Yusuf Mariam, she said that the members of the disbanded sect were arrested in possession of large stones, which they intended to use to cause havoc. Consequently, the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
While appealing to residents to remain calm and law-abiding, the Command reassured residents of its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property within the FCT.
