The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced two weeks extension to registration dates for candidates seeking to sit for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations UTME and Direct Entries.
The Registrar of the Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede made the announcement in Abuja on Saturday after the board’s management and stakeholders meeting held on ongoing 2021, UTME exercise.
Prof. Oloyede also disclosed that the 2021 UTME will now hold between 19th of June and 3rd of July, 2021.
He also said the 2021 Mock will also hold 3rd of June contrary to 28th of May, the initial date set for the conduct of 2021 UTME mock.
According to the Jamb Registrar, “this registration was expected to end 15th of June ,stakeholders have recommended and the management have approved a two week extension for registration ,it will now end in May 29th ,2021.
Accordingly, 2021 mock UTME scheduled for 28th may 2021, will now hold on the 3rd of June 2021, while the main UTME will now hold on the 19th of July ,2021.Â
He further disclosed that contrary to the 2million projection for registration, only 1,134,424 candidates have registered so far.
