…..Commend Former Governor for establishing Laudable Institutions
The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria,(CAN) in Bayelsa State on Monday paid a courtesy visit on the former Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, at his country home in Toru-Orua.
The CAN delegation which was led by Arch. Bishop Jacob Akpiri had Pst. S.S John Peters, Rev. Asingba Godspower, Bishop Doutimi Egbegi, Bishop Ebi Belepeigha, and Rev. (Dr.) Living Joshua.
Others are Rev. Dowell Vincent, Rev. Kelechukwu Victor, Rev. Nicholas Tangbei, Rev. Celestine Okibie, Pst. MacDonald J. Ossribire, Pst. Sylvanus Chidindu, and Cath. John Aputu.
The Christian body commended the former Governor, who is now the Senator representing Bayelsa west Senatorial District, for the laudable institutions he established for state in general and for the body of Christ in particular, and for the opportunity he gave them to serve in different capacities in his administration.
They also commended Senator Dickson for the cordial relationship he had maintained with the Association over the years right from when he was Member of the House of Representatives. They applauded him for the love and support he had shown to them over the years.
Senator Dickson started by appreciating the the Christian body for their dedication, steadfastness and the way and manner they render their selfless service to the state and humanity.
Dickson further expressed his gratitude to them for constantly holding morning devotions with him throughout the eight years he served as Governor of the state, and promised to inform them formally on his thanksgiving service that would come up in a later date.
