In an effort to developing world-class intellectual, professional and entrepreneurial leaders with proactive attitudes to match the increasing competitive challenges, the Dangote Business School (DBS), Bayero University Kano has held an interactive session today at the School’s magnificent edifice. The dialogue, comprising of heavyweights in the business sector addressed burning issues in areas of growth, success and other critical issues in the business sector as renowned business executives interfaced with participants of the Graduate Professional Certificate Course 2020 offered by the school through its Continuing Professional Development.
The Guest Speakers are seasoned magnates in their respective fields of businesses. Leading the first session on the subject of achieving remarkable successes in business development, growth/nurturing and general administration relative to the present-day global dynamics of technology and competition, was no other than the rising Alh. Anas Adamu Mohammed, FNIQS now the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Salbrix Nigeria LTD, a famous building construction firm with track record of quality, cost-effective and timely projects delivery in Nigeria. Alh. Kabiru Isyaka Rabiu, Group Executive Director of BUA International LTD, a notable conglomerate dealt with very crucial issues in the textile industry, oil and gas, general aspects in manufacturing and related industrial matters. Similarly, Alh. Ali Balarabe, Chairman of Ali Balarabe & Sons took participants on a journey of establishing and maintaining businesses in the light of community and environmental challenges.
In their separate remarks as participants, Alh. Sammani Adamu, Chairman of El-Samad Investment and the Founder of Engausa Global Tech Hub, Engr. Mustapha Habu, among a few others, raised relevant contributions which enliven the discussion.
Through a scholarly yet conversational approach, Professor Bala Ado Kofar Mata of Bayero University’s Department of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship engaged the panelists one after the other including the participants as they expertly sustained interest of the attendees through their stimulating discourses.
Professor Murtala Sagagi, a former Dean of the Dangote Business School (DBS) in Bayero University, Kano who gave the concluding remarks, expressed his delight as he described with gratitude that the target of establishing the School is being achieved. He took pride in the giant efforts of the school to bring together all stakeholders exemplified through this calibre of speakers in order to interface and collectively redirect academic energy from obsolete to a more productive, robust, problem-solving, relevant, purposeful and development based research. Summarizing the conversations, Sagagi points out that there is an apparent “lack of consensus on development” among business leaders in most part of Nigeria. He charged the partcipants declaring that as business men and women, “you can change the face of Kano State or any society” provided that there is the will to make it happen.
Sadiq Tajuddeen, CEO of Staj Integrated Investment and Chairman of Staj Collection testified on the gains that they have acquired throughout the course duration on behalf of his co-course participants. Awards presented to the guest speakers in recognition of their contributions to Business and Entrepreneurship formed high point of the occasion.
