….Jumma’at Prayers commence in Government House
As Jummat prayers commenced at the Niger State government house, the state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has reiterated the need for continuous peace and unity towards the development and progress of the state.
Governor Sani Bello stated this shortly after observing the Jummat prayers at the government house Jummat mosque.
The governor noted that the commencement of the Jummat prayers at the government house became necessary to ease the hardship of staff going out to perform their prayers.
Speaking on his Jummat message to Muslim ummah, the chief of staff to the governor, Ibrahim Balarabe stated that the present government will continue to preach peace at all times, noting that for security reasons, people will be adequately screened before gaining access to the government house for the Jumma’at prayers.
Earlier the chief imam of the mosque sheikh Mohammed Sani Abubakar while delivering his sermon called on all Muslim ummah to make use of the month of Dhul Hijjah to pray for the continuous peace and progress of the state and country at large.
The government house Jummat mosque was hitherto a normal mosque for prayers but has now been elevated to a Jummat mosque to serve all Muslim ummah within and around the government house.
