The former speaker of Cross Rivers House of Assembly currently representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency of the state has expressed his displeasure at the poor handling of the #COVID19 pandemic by the State governor , Governor Ben Ayade , which has recently claimed the life of one of the state House of Assembly member.
Speaking to pressmen on the matter, he expressed his sad regrets at the demise of the vibrant lawmaker and condoles with the family of the deceased.
Speaking further, the former speaker of the state assembly said “ I will advise that the governor who is the chief Executive officer of the state desist from creating a situation that will breed irresponsibility by the citizens he took an oath to protect with his dismissals on the reality that comes with this pandemic which has hit even the most sophisticated nations across the globe.
Rt.Hon. Daniel Asuquo also advised that the governor, the House of Assembly members and their immediate families follow the precautionary measures and protocols in place by the World Health Organization and the NCDC to prevent further deaths in the state .
