Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the confirmation of the appointment of Aminu Umar Yuguda Ph.D. as substantive Accountant- General of Gombe State with effect from 21st March 2022.
According to a press release on Sunday 20th March 2022 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, he said the State Head of Service, Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya, who conveyed the Governor’s approval, said the decision, is in line with the powers conferred on the His Excellency by Section 208 (2) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ( as amended).
He said, during his 6 months of service in an acting capacity, Aminu Yuguda had performed creditably and discharged his duties professionally.
It will be recalled that Mr. Yuguda, was appointed Acting Accountant-General on 22nd September 2021 following the retirement of the erstwhile AG, Umar Babagoro Bello from the service.
Born on November 21, 1974, Aminu Yuguda obtained Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Masters ( MSc) degrees in Accounting from the University of Maiduguri as well as Ph.D. from the University of Jos.
He is also an Associate Chartered Accountant, ACA and Fellow Chattered National Accountant, FCNA among others.
