FCT Police Update Security Architecture For Massive And Aggressive Crackdown On Security Challenges In The Territory

The FCT Police Command on Tuesday, in a round table meeting with its critical organs and top brass, has holistically revisited and revamped the security architecture of the Territory to steeply clamp down on the persistence and emergence of security challenges in its dynamics within and around the FCT.

According to a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, ANIPR, she said that the revamped architecture is said to be characterized by voracious intelligence gathering, and aggressive vehicular and foot patrol, and intelligence-led stop and search, to mention a few.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Babaji, on Sunday, while urging officers and men to go about the discharge of their duties with respect for fundamental human rights, in line with global best practices and professionalism devoid of any form of unwholesome conduct, urged members of the public to observe calm, eschew the promulgation of fake news capable of causing panic, and go about their lawful businesses without the fear of harassment or molestation of any kind and from any quarters.
