The Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Council of Traditional Ruler, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has expressed shock at the recent killing of Alhaji Mohammed Kudu, Sadauki Lafiagi, FIRS Coordinator for Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara by gunmen.
The Etsu Nupe, however, expressed condolences to the Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Muhammad Kudu-Kawu, Lafiagi Emirate, Kwara Government, FIRS, his immediate family, and the country as a whole for the tragedy.
Alhaji Abubakar in his message at his Wadata Palace, Bida in Niger on Sunday, said that although Alhaji Kudu was dead, his legacies would continue to live on.
The Royal father described the deceased as a pious, humble, generous, diligent, and patriotic son of the Lafiagi Emirate.
Alhaji Abubakar said his death had created a wide vacuum that would be too difficult to fill.
“It is one tragedy too many even as he prayed to God to expose the dastardly killers and restore lasting peace and security across Nigeria.
He prayed to God to grant the deceased Aljannatul Firdausi and give his family the fortitude to bear the unfortunate loss with ease.
Kudu, a former Deputy Director with the Federal Internal Revenue Service, was killed by bandits in an attack between Lapai-Saminaka-Lambata road on August 7, 2022
