FCT Police Arrest Man With A Bag Of Dry Leaves Suspected To Be Indian Hemp

Residents near the abattoir in old Karu, AMAC, breathed a sigh of relief when police operatives from the Karu Divisional Police Headquarters of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command on a stop and search arrested a man riding a bike while carrying a heavy sack.

According to our source, when the bike was stopped for searching, the suspect jumped down from the bike he boarded and ran, abandoning the sack containing dry leaves, suspected to be Cannabis.

The police operatives fiercely pursued him and he was arrested with the help of youths in the area. He confessed to having been contracted by one Usman Gwoza of Maraba to take it for delivery to one Abdullahi Shere at the boundary when he was arrested. 

When contacted, the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrest and said that efforts are still on board to arrest and prosecute the two mentioned.
