The Commissioner of Police FCT Command CP Babaji Sunday on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th of October 2022 decorated 3 Deputy Commissioners of Police and 17 chief superintendents of police respectively following the Recent October 2022 promotion of senior officers from the Ranks of Deputy Commissioner to Commissioner of Police and Superintendent to Chief Superintendent of Police.
According to a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, ANIPR, Mipra, she said that the Decoration which was held amidst the celebration was conducted at the Premises of the FCT Police Command in the presence of friends, families, relatives of the Promo-tees, and guests from sister Organization.
The Deputy Commissioners of Police decorated are; DCP Nuradeen A. Sabo who was hitherto the Area Commander of the Metro Area Command and now the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations ( DCOPS), DCP Hayatu Hassan Shaffa who before his promotion was the C/O 50PMF, now the DC FEDOPS Force Headquarters Abuja and DCP Babakura Mohammed who was before his promotion the C/O 21 PMF now the DCCID Ogun State Command.
While the Officers are to immediately proceed to their new places of assignment within and outside the Command, the Commissioner of Police in his goodwill message, appreciated the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police for this moral boasting magnanimity and charged the officers to live up to the expectations bestowed on their new ranks especially in imbibing ethics of professionalism the job is known for.
He also charged all other Officers and men at the occasion to emulate the good virtues the promoted officers have exhibited and to eschew all forms of unprofessionalism.
The members of the public and the press present were after his remark enjoined to continually support the Command with credible information relevant to advancing the crime-fighting crusade of the command.
