The Gombe State Commissioner of Police, CP Oqua Etim, visited the Bajoga Area Command on Tuesday to sensitize and lecture officers and men with valid information regarding the payment of arrears.
Earlier in his welcome address, Area Commander ACP Abubakar Giade warmly welcomed the Commissioner to the Area command and briefed him on the Area command’s activities, which included both successes and challenges.
The Area Commander made a request to the Commissioner of Police for the construction of the Area Command Office to create a pleasant working environment.
ACP Abubakar said the CP’s visit gave them a sense of belonging, and encouragement and prayed to Almighty to give him the strength to discharge his duty effectively.
In response, the Commissioner of Police, CP Oqua Etim, charged the personnel to increase their efforts in carrying out their duties and to be aware of “Community Policing,” in which police collaborate with their host community for accurate information.
The CP also warned personnel to refrain from extorting members of the public and to Accord concerning their Superiors in the line of duty to maintain sanity and team up, particularly in the upcoming General Elections, to provide adequate security before, during, and after the exercise. It should be noted that any personnel who fail to comply will face severe consequences.
The CP also thanks the Area Command for protecting the Community and encourages them to keep up the pace.
