The Rivers State Police Commissioner, CP OKon Effiong has ordered the immediate arrest of the officers shown in a viral video harassing and assaulting an unidentified man at Elibrade junction, Emohuafollowing the identification of the Policemen.
A statement on Monday, 10th April 2023 signed by the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-koko said that as a defender of human rights, the CP assured members of the public, that the Police Officers will be investigated in line with extant rules underlying the conduct of police personnel; and appropriate sanctions meted accordingly.
