IT Incubation Centres Supporting FG’s Economic Diversification Agenda – Pantami

The Minister, Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami has said that NITDA championed IT Incubation Centres will go a long way in promoting and supporting Federal Government’s economic diversification agenda.

Pantami spoke at the Second Phase of the Virtual Commissioning of Eleven Projects executed by various agencies and parastatals under the Communications and Digital Economy Ministry.

“Some of the projects related to e-governance will also go a long way in fighting corruption. Because the more our activities are digitalized, the less of physical financial transaction, which lead to fraudulent manipulations, Pantami said.

He further said that 36,000 Nigerians who enrolled for Information Technology skills acquisition, established during the early stages of the COVID-19 lockdown, across the country; in the virtual institutions established by the Federal Government have completed their training and since been certified.

Pantami reiterated that his Ministry collaborated with Cisco, IBM, and Microsoft to train selected participants on emerging technology such as artificial intelligence, cyber-security, internet fiber optics, among other key Information Communication Technology marketable areas.

Senator Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State among other eminent Special Guests attended virtual commissioning ceremony.
