Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has extended a heartfelt felicitation to the management team and staff of the Guardian Newspaper, a leading tabloid in the world of journalism in Nigeria especially, the print media, in commemoration of her 40-years of unflinching service to the people of Nigeria and Africa’s reading population.
In a statement made available to the media, Chief Eze, an APC chieftain and renowned Journalist said he feels a sense of pride to be a part of the Guardian’s success story as a subscriber to the sound journalistic ethics of the company which he described as a fundamental driver of her very many successes at 40.
According to the media czar, mention must be made of Pastor Mrs Rose Ann Godwin, the Guardian Newspaper Correspondent for Rivers State, an outstanding Journalist of note whom he described as a teacher who had guided many Journalists and taught them objectivity, which is central to the job of a field journalist.
‘Rose Ann remains a Guardian to most of us living in Rivers State’, he noted.
The Guardian is proven to be one of the most outstanding Newspapers in Nigeria and if one is to read a balanced and unbiased report on any event the Guardian newsprint serves better in that regard.

The Guardian was established in 1983 by the late Alex Ibru, an entrepreneur, and Stanley Macebuh, a top journalist with the Daily Times newspapers, with its model copied from the original The Guardian in the UK. The Guardian was a pioneer in introducing high-quality journalism to Nigeria with thoughtful editorial content. The paper was first published on 22 February 1983 as a weekly, appearing on Sundays. It started daily publication on 4 July 1983
