CP Kanayo Receives Enugu State Commissioner For Special Duties And NYSC Coordinator

….. Assures maximum cooperation and partnership with the ministry and the Corps

The Enugu State Police Commissioner, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu has assured the State Commissioner in charge of the Ministry of Special Duties, Hon. Emeka Ajogwu, of the Police’s maximum cooperation and partnership with the Ministry, particularly in the area of public security and safety.

According to a press release signed by the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said that the CP made this known when the Commissioner paid him a courtesy and familiarization visit today, October 5, 2023, in his office at the State Headquarters, GRA, Enugu.

Earlier in his speech, the Commissioner commended the pragmatic efforts of the CP in fighting crimes in the State, while informing him of the Ministry’s willingness to support and partner with the Police to further reduce and maintain a crime-free and peaceful Enugu State.

In a similar development, the CP received the Enugu State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Barr. Mrs. Gladys Adama also paid him a courtesy and familiarization visit in his office.

He assured the coordinator of a continuous cordial working relationship between the Police and the Corps in the State while reiterating the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensure the security and safety of Corps Members within and beyond the State’s NYSC Orientation Camp.

Earlier in her speech, the NYSC State Coordinator informed the CP that she was in his office to familiarize herself with him, and to seek ways of strengthening the existing close working relationship between the Corps and the Police, especially in the area of ensuring the security and safety of Corps Members in the State.

The CP was joined by ACP Hope Isiani Okereke, the Assistant Commissioner in the Department of Finance and Administration, and Staff Officers of the Command to receive and interact with visitors.
