President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned Hon. Adeyemi Sunday Adepoju as the Postmaster General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) citing Adepoju’s sterling leadership and excellent performance during his stay in office as the reason for his reinstatement.
According to a statement by the management of NIPOST on Saturday, 14th October 2023, it says, “Under his leadership, the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has witnessed unprecedented growth and development. Rt. Hon Adepoju has implemented various innovative strategies that have repositioned NIPOST for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
The statement read, “As Postmaster General, some of the remarkable achievements of NIPOST under his leadership include the implementation of the Address Verification System (AVS), Digital Postcode System for the country, procurement of 20 new Operational Vehicles and 100 Motorbikes to boost the mail delivery efficiency and effectiveness and enhance the Last Mile Delivery. Additionally, the remodeling of Post Offices across the country to smart Post Offices where citizens can access e-government services and financial services inclusion of the Federal Government.
“Hon. Sunday Adepoju expressed his gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for returning him as the Postmaster General. He also thanked Hon.
