Oborevwori Approves State Christian And Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards’ Constitutions

The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointments of members into the Boards of the State Christian and Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards:

According to a press release on Saturday, 16th December 2023 signed by the Permanent Secretary (State Protocol Matters) for Secretary to the State Government, Tetsola Anino Nelson, the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board is to be chaired by Apostle Sylvanus Okorote while Rev. Father Christopher Ekabo is the Secretary. Other members are Archbishop Godday Iboyi, Rev. Dr. Justin Okoroji, Rev. Monday Madukwe, Ven. Robert O. Oziwele, and Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Patricia Buzugbe.

The Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is to be chaired by Alhaji Anwalu Tukur while Dr. Ismaila Okundaye is the Secretary. Other members are Alhaji Suleiman Jauro, Dr. Ibrahim Afolabi A., Hajiya Maryam Nabiri and Garba Sam Clark.

Also, the Governor has approved the appointments of the following as State Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators on Religious Matters; Rev. Cyril Okonye as State Coordinator, Ven. Justin C. Olomu, State Deputy Coordinator (North), Ven. Freeborn A. Onokpite, Deputy Coordinator (Central), and Rev. Godspower Agbuduta, State Deputy Coordinator (South)

According to Tetsola Anino Nelson, the date and time of their inauguration will be announced later.
