The public has been notified by the Benue State Command that on December 31, 2023, and January 1, 2024, at the roundabout next to Dexters Restaurant, low level, Makurdi, there will be a government-sponsored fireworks show.
A statement on Thursday, 28th December 2023 signed by the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Anene Sewuese Catherine, said that this is part of the activities put in place for the New Year celebration.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP George Chuku has ordered the deployment of police officers within the area during the display and urged the good people of Benue state to go about their duties without fear or panic as the environment will be secured and under control.
