The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 13 Ukpo, AIG Godwin Ndidi Aghaulor on Tuesday, 9th January 2024 received a group of concerned citizens of Anambra state who paid a courtesy visit to the Zone at the Zonal Headquarters, Ukpo-Dunukofia.
A statement signed by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Ihunwo Josephine K. said that the AIG received the visitors with pleasure and greatly appreciated them for their immense support and intervention in the ongoing rehabilitation of the detention facility of the Zone.
AIG Godwin N Aghaulor noted that their service was not only of benefit to the Zone and the Nigeria Police Force by extension but also a laudable service to God and humanity.
The AIG further encouraged them to continue with the good work both in Anambra state and the society at large.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr Okafor Anthony, thanked the AIG for receiving them warmly and assured him of their continued support to the Zone, adding that they aimed to see the Zone succeed in the onerous assignment of crime-fighting.
Also speaking, Pastor Christian Geoffrey appreciated the AIG for his effort in seeing that the Yuletide season was celebrated hitch-free within the Zonal Command, noting that indigenes within and outside the state visited and enjoyed the festive period because of the security measures in place. He prayed for God to continue giving the AIG more strength and divine direction to lead the Zone.
Other dignitary who were part of the visitors included Mr Ike Okeke, Mr Chukwunonso Ayaborsi and Mr Okonkwo Anyo.
Also in attendance to receive the visitors were members of the Zonal management team, including the DC ZDOPS DCP Umoru Ozigi, DCP Iya Umar of the Zonal CID, and other senior police officers.
The visit was equally marked by an inspection visit to the project site to see and appreciate the extent of work being done so far.
