AIG Kwazhi Assumes Duty As AIG In Charge Of Force CID Annex Enugu

assures diligence and professionalism in criminal cases investigation and prosecution, enjoining citizens to be supportive

AIG Kwazhi Bzigu Dali has assumed duty as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex Enugu.

According to a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Force CID, Force Headquarters, Abuja, SP Funmi Eguaojo, said that he hails from Mildu Shalmi in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Philosophy from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State.

Since joining the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (CASP), and being trained and commissioned as an Assistant Superintendent of Police at the Nigeria Police Force Academy Annex, Kaduna, AIG Kwazhi has served and held several positions in different State and Zonal commands, formations, and at the Force Headquarters Abuja. He also served in international operations and peacekeeping missions.

Notable among the positions held by AIG Kwazhi include serving as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of different Police Divisions in Kaduna State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commands, as well as the Acting Area Commander, Metropolitan Area Command, and the Officer in Charge of the Anti-Terrorism Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) both in the FCT Police Command.

AIG Kwazhi also served as Staff Officer Senior and the Chief of Training, Department of Peace-Keeping Operations, both in the Force Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and the Commanding Officer of No. 42 Police Mobile Force (PMF) Squadron, Gasau, Zamfara State. He additionally served as the Commissioner of Police, at Osun State Command, and a Directing Staff at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.

He further served as a member of the Presidential Committee on the Disarmament, Demobilization and Re-Integration (DDR) of the Niger Delta militants, and the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Police Force Anti-Corruption Committee.

At the international level, AIG Kwazhi served as the Contingent Commander of the Nigeria Police Formed Unit to the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), Police Logistics Officer, ECOWAS Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ECOMIB), Police Training Officer and Team Coordinator at the ECOWAS Defense and Security Sector Reform Programme in Guinea-Bissau. He also served as the Team Coordinator for the Chairperson of ECOWAS Election Mission Observers for the 2019 Nigeria Presidential Election, Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former President of Liberia.

AIG Kwazhi has attended several locally and internationally organized trainings and professional courses. Prominent among them are the Senior Police Officers Command Course, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Course in Vicenza, Italy; FBI Criminal Investigators, Crime Prevention and Detection Course in Gaborone, Botswana; and Commanding UN Peacekeeping Operations, Ethics in Peacekeeping, and Restoring Civil Order after Hostilities training, New York, USA. He also attended the Senior Executive Course 45, 2023, at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State, after which he was inducted as a Member of the National Institute (mni).

A versatile and consummate Senior Police Officer, AIG Kwazhi brings with him a wealth of administrative, operational, and, more importantly, intelligence and investigation experiences spanning over thirty years. He assures that the Force CID Annex Enugu, under his watch, will maintain utmost diligence and professionalism in the investigation and prosecution of criminal cases.
