The Integrity Youth Alliance has said the planned protests championed by Omoyele Sowore are only a subterfuge to create anarchy across the country.
The Alliance said it is another attempt by the anarchist, Omoyele Sowore, to actualize his desire for chaos and destabilisation.
In a statement signed by the publicity secretary of the Alliance, Danjuma Lamido, and the Secretary-General, Kelvin Adegbenga, the alliance said, “Agents of security, particularly those of the Nigeria Police, need to be aware that the action being described as a protest against hunger is not one. Sowore is only attempting to use the protest to further its aim of changing the government.
The Alliance recalled that one of the court’s conditions for Sowore’s bail was that he not attend or participate in any form of rally or protest pending the determination of the charges against him.
“As he relaxes in his mansion with family in New Jersey, Omoyele Sowore is inciting the credulous for revolt in Nigeria.
“We all know that the #EndSARS protest started like every other protest before it was hijacked by hoodlums; therefore, our country must never have another disruptive and destructive #EndSARS under a new guise.
“Protest has always been a vehicle for the destruction of property and human life rather than a way for nations to overcome their problems.
“On a final note, we call on the good people of Nigeria not to dance to the tune of these anarchists and saboteurs, the statement said.
