….. Police launch manhunt for principal suspect
Police operatives of the Nasarawa state Command have arrested one Emmanuel Michael ‘M’ 42yrs a private security guard in Abuja, and Jerry Aruwa ‘M’ 47yrs of Kabusa area, FCT Abuja for an employment scam where Five fake appointment letters of the Nigeria Customs Service were recovered from them as an exhibit.
According to a press release signed by the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said that Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects criminally conspired with one Kyari Nehemiah Daniel (at large) of Angwan TIV, Karshi Development Area, Karu LGA of Nasarawa State.
The suspects claimed to be Customs officers and defrauded unsuspecting members of the public to the tune of Eleven Million, Seven hundred and Ninety-two thousand Naira (#11, 792,000) under the pretext of assisting the victims secure jobs in the Nigeria Customs Service.
The Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered a manhunt for the principal suspect (Kyari Nehemiah Daniel) as he advised Job seekers to at all times seek employment through proper channels in order not to fall prey to scammers.
