…………recovers vehicle belonging to the deceased
The FCT Police Command on Monday 30th November,2020 arrested one Jeremiah Nnamdi at CBN Junction, along Karu axis in connection with the gruesome murder of one Professor Kwaghger of the Federal University of Agriculture, Benue State on 28th November, 2020, acting on credible intelligence.
In a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Yusuf Mariam, she said that The suspect confessed that he and one Martins who is currently at large, robbed and killed the Professor, disposed of the corpse before taking possession of his vehicle.
According to the Command Spokesperson, the suspect met his waterloo while attempting to sell the stolen vehicle. Exhibit recovered from the suspect: one Toyota Venza with reg no. RSH 746 NY. Concerted effort is in place to arrest the fleeing suspect.
While urging FCT residents to continually provide prompt information, the Commissioner of Police CP. Bala Ciroma reiterated the Command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property in the Federal Capital Territory.
The suspect will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigation, ASP Yusuf Mariam said.
