The newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Benneth C. Igweh assumed duty as the 34th Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja, on Thursday.
The new AIG Benneth C. Igweh was born on the 7th of October, and hails from Akatta Oru-East LGA of Imo State. He attended the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Estate Management in July, 1991. His quest for educational advancement made him obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and a Masters Degree in Banking/Finance.
According to a press release on Thursday, 12th September 2024 signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 7 Command Headquarters,buja, DSP M.B Abdulkadir, said that AIG Benneth Igweh was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP, a member of Course 19, 1996, and had his training in the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

He is happily married and blessed with children.
