Hon. ‘Wale Ajani have been elected President of the Lagos Baptist Academy Old Student’s Association (BAOSA).
Hon. Ajani is the first elected President of the 92′ set of the keenly contested by 3 Old students.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Ajani said he is humbled and honoured that they have placed their confidence and support in electing him as their President.
“I feel blessed as I begin this new era and I assure you that the newly elected Exco will always endeavour to reflect the utmost compassion, honesty, and integrity, Hon. Ajani said.
His statement read, “I would like to thank everyone for your unending love and support, but mostly I thank the Almighty God. It is with His fear that I will continue to serve you people. I believe we can build on the progress of the interim Exco and continue to fight for new opportunities for all and sundry
“Many of you spent hours contributing to the campaign and I sincerely thank each of you. The essence of great leadership is influencing not authority. I look forward to working with you all to advance issues of importance to our 92’Set. To the award winning IBEC team and many volunteers who came forward to assist with my campaign, I say a big thank you! We could not have succeeded without you. To the other Presidential candidates who ran in the election, I thank you for participating in the democratic process. Our 92’ sets’ are better for it. I will try my best to fulfill your expectations and will try to never let you down.
“From today I take on these new responsibilities knowing that I stand on the sturdy shoulders of dedicated mates. I believe that I could represent you guys when in need and take charge when necessary. I also feel that I could further strengthen the relationship with our Alma Mata and BAOSA National leadership.
“I am passionate about serving others. I will look forward to continuing to work with you as your President. However, you also should continue to provide us feedback we need to do it as it should be done. For now, I thank you once again as we will make you proud. I promise you, as president I will do my very best to listen and ensure transparency, the statement concluded.

- Take a lead to Unite us globally and address issues that affect our 92’Set in particular and Baptist Academy student’s in general.
- Develop and launch a leadership scheme on behalf of 92’ Set to empower students at Lagos Baptist Academy
- Launch a leadership conference to inspire students to speak up.
- Provide leadership training to our elected 92’Set leaders to further develop their skills
- Develop an all-inclusive programme of events that tailor to the diversity of our BAOSA 92’Set.
- Create a platform for legitimate business engagement.
- Ensure we have the BEST 30th Anniversary Re-Union Week and opportunities are widely promoted to empower ourselves.
- Lobby the Office of the SDG to institute project in Lagos Baptist Academy on behalf of the 92’Set.
- Review our core messages of Brotherliness and ensure we celebrate ourselves in Life and Death.
- Organise prayer sessions for soul lifting.
The Lagos Baptist Academy, Lagos is a secondary school located in Obanikoro, Lagos, Nigeria.
The school was established in 1855 by the American Baptist Missionaries.
The school is regarded as a sister school to Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls’ Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos and Baptist Girls’ Academy, Obanikoro Lagos.
