The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command Mr Everestus C. Obiyo on Thursday, 5th May 2022 issued a marching order to all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to Commence immediate deployment of personnel to all the designated Jamb Computer Based Test (CBT) centres across the State in line with JAMB classification for the conduct of 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME ) starting on Friday, May 6th 2022 to Monday, May 16th 2022.
According to a press release signed by the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC Anambra State Command, DSC Okadigbo Edwin, he said that Mr Obiyo enjoined officers and men deployed for this critical assignment to operate within guidelines governing the conduct of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and exhibit high sense of professionalism while discharging their duties.
According to him, “the Corps will always respond to duty calls in ensuring adequate security of both Jamb Staff and Materials, candidates for the examination, protection of government critical national assets and infrastructure and maintenance of peace, law, and order before, during and after the UTME CBT Exams ” he said.
Meanwhile, the command warns all unauthorized persons against loitering around centres designated for the CBT Exams. Candidates are advised in their interest not to come along with prohibited or incriminating items during the examination as the command has activated mechanism and heightened efforts to checkmate malpractice and promote transparency in the conduct of JAMB CBT examination in the State.
