Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has explained that the clause ‘waiving sovereignty’ in the loan agreement between Nigeria and China is only a contract term, a sovereign guarantee that assures payback according to the terms and conditions of any loan. OPEC oil production increased by 1 million barrels per day in the month of July, as the cartel reduced its production cuts and major gulf members also ended their added voluntary cuts, as the body plans to ease production cuts by 7.7 million barrels a day. The Edo Modular and Refinery Company Limited and AIPCC Energy are on the verge of completing the 5500bpd Edo Modular Refinery, a key legacy project by the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration to recalibrate the state’s industrial base, birthed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
