The Maikaya Development Foundation (MDF) Annual Football Competition came to an exciting close on Saturday at the Keffi Township Stadium, with Black Scorpion FC defeating Golden Bridge FC in a tense penalty shootout to claim the championship title.
The month-long tournament drew teams and spectators from across the region, highlighting MDF’s dedication to promoting grassroots sports development. The grand finale attracted several prominent personalities, including Hon. Dogo Shammah, Hon. Abdullahi Attajiri, Hon. Mohammed Yakubu Dikko, and Chief Douglas Otaru.
Speaking on the significance of the event, MDF Chief Executive Officer Dr. Muhammed Maikaya reaffirmed the foundation’s mission to engage youth in productive activities, foster community spirit, and encourage talent development.
Grateful participants and attendees commended Dr. Maikaya’s consistent investment in youth empowerment, noting his broader contributions in education, healthcare, and community development. Operating under the motto “Leaving No One Behind,” MDF continues to make a lasting impact on lives across Nasarawa State.
