A Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Vincent Ogunshorun, has advised political leaders and appointees in government to render selfless service to the nation for the benefit of the people.
The Reverend Father in charge of Catholic Church of Twelve Apostles, Abuja, gave the charge during the liturgy of Song in honour of late Engr. Chidi Izuwah, Director General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, ICRC.
He said the deceased was a philanthropist, who is always ready to assist and touch lives.
“Show love and a little kindness when in position of authority, you will be judged by what you do here on earth, when you passed on”
Rev. Father Ogunshorun advised Nigerians to work for the good of the nation, ” So why do you want to destroy the country, spread love wherever you go”
He emphasised the need for the people to live an exemplary life that is worthy of emulation and also promote peaceful coexistence.
He prayed for the family of late Engr Chidi Izuwah, asking God to give them the heart and fortitude to bear the loss.
The service was attended by family members, friends and associates of late Engr Chidi Izuwah.
The final rites of passage and burial will come up on the 20th to 23rd of May, 2021, in his home town, Amaede, Ovungwu, Isiala Ngwa South L.G, Abia State.
