“We turn not older with years but newer every day.” — Emily Dickinson
Today, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating the 61st birthday of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, a man whose life and career remain a shining example of dedication, integrity, and service to our dear nation.
Throughout his decades of service, IGP Egbetokun has demonstrated uncommon courage, wisdom, and compassion in the discharge of his duties. He has not only distinguished himself as a professional par excellence but also as a father figure whose leadership embodies selflessness, discipline, and fairness.
Like a true father to the Force, he continues to guide, nurture, and protect, ensuring that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to its constitutional mandate of safeguarding lives and property.
Under his stewardship, the Force has witnessed a renewed sense of purpose, discipline, and accountability. His unwavering commitment to justice and fairness has inspired both officers and citizens, leaving an indelible mark on the institution he leads.
Indeed, his leadership reminds us that policing is not merely about enforcing laws, but also about building trust, protecting dignity, and upholding the values of compassion and equity.
As he marks this new chapter in his life, my prayer is that God grants him greater strength, good health, and the wisdom to continue steering the Nigeria Police Force to greater heights.
His legacy of discipline, fairness, and leadership will forever be cherished by generations of officers and citizens alike.
On this occasion of his 61st birthday, we celebrate not just the man, but the ideals he represents: courage in the face of challenges, integrity in the midst of trials, and compassion in service to humanity.
May his years ahead continue to be fruitful, impactful, and richly rewarding.
Happy Birthday, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
