…. Tackle Insecurity Squarely
….. Your Armchair Media Handlers, Undermining Your Administration
“….Shoving Fani Kayode and Tinubu’s media handlers aside, Eze posed a simple rhetoric: “Are Christians being killed in Nigeria in mass, yes of course, but are Muslims also killed in mass, yes of course, and who are those involved in all these killings and how is our present government addressing the issues of insecurity that is what President Trump wants to be addressed.
“It is a pity and unfortunate that we have to wait until President Trump waded in for our so called government to see the need of finding a way to address this mindless killings….”
Former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu, not to treat with levity, the designation of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” by President Donald Trump of the United States of America, over the genocidal killings of Christians in Nigeria by jihadists.
Rather than weep up disgraceful sentiments over Trump’s stand on terrorism and genocide in Nigeria, the APC Chieftain advised Tinubu to be decisive and bold in tackling terrorism, banditry and the masterminds of the rampant killings going on in the country under his nose.
In the wake of Trump’s directive to the Nigerian government to stop the genocide and killing of mostly Christians, Chief Eze noted that part of the problem facing the Tinubu administration is the role of his media handlers, which has become counter productive in all ramifications.
Eze insisted that Tinubu should trade with utmost caution and avoid joining issues with the US President, hinting that for Trump to open up, means the White House has credible, reliable and technological intelligence on what is going on in Nigeria.
In a statement on Wednesday, Eze warned Tinubu to be wary of what the likes of Fani Kayode and some other clowns are reeling out in public and media space in defence of the Nigerian government, saying they are eye-service busy bodies, who know nothing about the US stance on terrorism globally.
“If Nigeria does not stop the killings, the United States will attack — and it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians,” Trump. This is not a statement we should take for granted unless we are claiming ignorant of the consequences we may face as a country should Trump walk out his threat.

According to Eze, President Tinubu and his errand boys should not mistake Trump’s statement as a gutter statement but one that should be treated with every sense of seriousness it deserves.
For Trump to advise Tinubu to “Stop the killings of Christians in your country now,or we will come in and do it for you”, means the US government has the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians at heart, having seen the country’s democracy thrive for more than 26 years of uninterruption.
“For Godsake, how could a rational being try to politicize a harmless advise or see Trump’s statement as divisive, reckless or anti Islam, Eze queried.
“These terrorists, bandits, kidnappers etc are our common enemies. They are killing, maiming and destroying properties, farmlands, livestocks and committing all sorts of clandestine and heinous crimes against humanity, activities.
“So, for Trump to advise Tinubu to take action now or America will come in, to me, it’s a candid talk we should embrace with an open arms and do the needful.
“But truth be told, over the years, the issue of insecurity escalated by the activities of terrorists, bandits, kidnappers etc have defied all known solutions by the Nigerian government.
“Therefore, rather than unleash his attack dogs, fifth columnists, paper tigers and propagandists on Trump, I urge the Tinubu administration to look inwards with a view to adhering to Trump’s statement” Eze cautioned.
The APC chieftain recalled that in January 2014, President Bola Tinubu, had criticised former President Goodluck Jonathan over the killing of Christian worshippers in the Northeast, saying it was his duty to protect Nigerians.
Eze recollected that Tinubu had said that Jonathan was weak and incompetent not being able to protect the Christian worshippers who were killed in Borno and Adamawa states.
According to Eze, Tinubu was quoted as saying in 2014, that “The slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls into question the competence of Jonathan to protect Nigerians”.
On the issue of Fani Kayode, whom he described as loquacious and a noise maker clothed with the apron of mischief and blackmail, Eze exhumed his statement concerning the deteriorating state of insecurity in the country in recent times.
“Nigeria has had more Christians murdered, more churches bombed and burnt and more clerics slaughtered than any other country in the world over the last 58 years” Eze quoted Femi Fani-Kayode.
“Now, Fani Kayode is speaking from both sides of his mouth just to curry favour by all means from Tinubu.
For Femi Fani-Kayode to argue that he made the tweet six years ago and that things are no longer the same over the years, means he is being economical with the truth, Eze posited.
“Today, the former Minister of Aviation said in Nigeria, more Muslims are being killed than Christians. Assuming that more Muslims are killed are these Muslims being slaughtered are they not human beings to be protected? Is this not the height of hypocrisy, Eze cried out.
Shoving Fani Kayode and Tinubu’s media handlers aside, Eze posed a simple rhetoric: “Are Christians being killed in Nigeria in mass, yes of course, but are Muslims also killed in mass, yes of course, and who are those involved in all these killings and how is our present government addressing the issues of insecurity that is what President Trump wants to be addressed.
“It is a pity and unfortunate that we have to wait until President Trump waded in for our so called government to see the need of finding a way to address this mindless killings.
“When our party decided to adopt Muslim-Muslim ticket as if we have no sound Christian in the country to be part of the leadership, how and what do we expect the world to see us?
“When these killers are given privileges by the Government that supposed to eradicate them, and instead, innocent Christians are being caged and harassed, the world should sit down and watch?
“President Tinubu should rather rise up to the moment by rallying all Nigerians behind him and providing leadership that is transparent, non-partisan and pan-Nigerian.
“Let all of us defect into the Nigerian project and not into APC that has become the number one enemy of Nigeria, Eze stated.
He therefore called on the President to refuse to listen to the likes of Fani-Kayode, Bayo Onanuga, Daniel Bwala and many other self-centred undemocratic media aides who instead of advising him properly, are dishing out irrational and illogical statements to address Trump’s statement.
“We lack what it takes to confront a super power like America. Up till now, Boko Haram fighters have not been decimated and we are trying to join issues with America because it offered to help deal with decisively the issue of terrorism in Nigeria, Eze said.
Not minding all the shortcomings of this administration, Eze advised Tinubu to have a change of heart on how he governs this country and stop all manners of discrimination against some sections.
“President Tinubu should take this chance to truly empower our security personnel with equipment and welfare to serve this nation and decimate the foreign terrorists and their business partners.
“One thing President Tinubu must do is to dismantle the current structure of State capture in place.
“We have a National Assembly that acts like Zombies and as an annex of the Executive. As for the Judiciary, it is now a dangerous threat to democracy in Nigeria.
“We can’t breathe under this administration where everything is politics first and last, while the nation bleeds and drifts.
“Right now, Nigeria is under international scrutiny and no one can employ contrived court judgements or declare a state of emergency, defection or any of the dark arts of Nigerian politics to submerge truth.
“If the Americans come, no one can predict what will happen next. Instead of yelling at Trump or prematurely hailing him as our “Messiah”, let us seize the moment and claw our way out of “disgrace” Eze advised.
Meanwhile, the erstwhile National Publicity of nPDP commended Senator Ali Ndume for speaking truth to power on this issue, with his statement that “Nigerians should hold the Senate and President Tinubu responsible as the US puts Nigeria on a watchlist. The complacency from both the government and the Senate led us here. They failed to engage the United States government in time with the facts. That is why we are dealing with this now,”.
